Oborevwori, Monarchs Preach Peaceful Co-existence At Unveiling Of CEPEJ’S Centre
The Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, the Etsu Nupe and Emir of Bida, in Niger State, Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, the Orodje of Okpe, Orhue 1, the Amayanabo of Twon-Brass in Bayelsa State, King Alfred Diete-Spiff have harped on the need for peaceful co-existence among Nigerians irrespective of their tribe and religion.
Speaker Oborevwori and the Monarchs made the call recently at Ugolo-Okpe in Okpe Local Government Area, Delta State, during the unveiling of Africa for Peace Centre and Groundbreaking Ceremony of African Heritage International Academy.
The Speaker while declaring that Delta State Governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa is doing a lot to better the living conditions of people in the State, praised CEPEJ for their continued pursuit of peaceful co-existence and called on Deltans to sustain the prevailing peace in the State.
According to the Speaker;”I want to commend the coordinator of CEPEJ, Comrade Sheriff Mulade for his efforts towards peace. We should all key into the peace initiative efforts of CEPEJ. I am happy that this programme is taking place in my constituency. This is my second time of coming here and when I saw the gigantic project he had put in this place, I know that he is a man that is very articulate and focused. Apart from the efforts of the security agencies, the people of Gbaramatu Kingdom where Comrade Mulade is from have also contributed to the peace we are enjoying today in Delta State”.
The Chairman of Niger State Traditional Rulers’ Council, Alhaji Abubakar while commending CEPEJ for advocating as well as standing firm for peace and conflict resolution, prayed God to give Nigerians the spirit to tolerate one another.
