Delta State President of Private Sector Participants (PSP) in Waste Management, Comrade Lucky Adjekuko has commended the developmental strides of the State Governor, Senator (Dr) Ifeanyi Okowa, saying he was making the job of PSP easier in the State and called for his re-election next year.
Speaking to our Correspondent in Asaba, Comrade Adjekuko said in the last few years, the Governor Okowa has tried in the construction and rehabilitation of roads and drainages across the State, stating that majority of roads were now very motorable and accessible.
He posited that it used to be difficult for members of the PSP in the State to move about to carry out their activities, saying that was now history.
“Those areas we could not reach before, we can now access them freely. If you go round the state, you will see the rapid roads and drainages construction that is going on in everywhere. The roads are now accessible thereby making the job easy for us as waste managers”, he said.
He added that;“The Governor is working. Before now in the rainy season it was difficult for us as PSP to go to our clients and pick up waste materials but today we have easy access roads to pick up waste materials.”
“We are passing a vote of confidence on the Governor. The Governor is doing extremely well and as waste managers; we are very close to the grassroot, we members of PSP in the State will mobilize ourselves and clients to return the Governor come 2019″, he said.
He also said that;”Right now there are many programmes the Governor is trying to put in place regarding PSP work and at the end of the day those programmes will be of great benefit to PSP. So far I will score the Governor Governor very high for making the state to be clean everyday”.
“I am appealing to Deltans to re-elect Governor Okowa come 2019 in order for him to do more and I am very convinced that by the time we elect the Governor again in 2019 to 2023 Deltans will not regret it as he will make the State a better place than he met. Members of PSP in the State are proud of the Governor”.
