As 2019 election draws close, Delta State House of Assembly aspirant for Warri South-West Local Government Area, Delta State, Comrade Sheriff Mulade on Sunday inaugurated his campaign committee in preparedness for the upcoming election.
Mulade who addressed his supporters at the home of Chief Wellington Bobo in Warri said it was high time he inaugurated his campaign committee as the race to Delta State House of Assembly would not be an easy race, saying that he has no godfather to support his ambition.
Mulade also commended Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for assuring all aspirants in the People’s Democratic Party, PDP that he was going to conduct a free and fair primaries.
The Warri South-West House of Assembly hopeful said that the governor’s assurance had made it necessary for his campaign team to double their efforts in embarking on door to door campaign to ensure that they they emerged the candidate of the party.
However, some of the committees include s ; Publicity, Security, Welfare, Transport, Contact/Engagement, Communication, Mobilization, Finance, Advisory ,Monitoring and Evaluation, Research and Strategy and Peace Building Committee respectively.
He said, “We are setting up this committee so that we can reach those important people in the course of our campaign so that we can achieve the desired resilts. We are setting up twelve different committee for different functions. This is a call of the people. They called for this committee and it is going to carry every one along.
One very important committee that we have set up is the peace building committee. This is so because we believe so much in peace building. Peace building is our primary concern. We will continue to bills peace as we go about our campaigns. We do not want to wait until we get to the House before we started building peace.”
Mulade further added that the committees have members from the two ethnic groups in Warri South West constituency, saying “we have Itsekiris and the Ijaws sharing and having equal representation in all the committees.”
“My expectations from the committees that we have set are very high. We expect them to carry out their functions with utmost responsibilities. We believe they know what to do and they will perform well,” Mulade added.
The Mulade campaign committee set up are; Publicity Committee, Security Committee, Welfare Committee, Transport Committee, Contact/Engagement Committee, Communication Mobilization Committee, Financial Committee, Research/Strategy Committee, Peace Building Committee, Advisory Committee and Monitoring and Evaluation Committee.
