No fewer than three people were killed while four others suffered injuries following attack by suspected cattle rustlers in Kurega Village in Chikun local government area.
The area shares boundaries with Birnin Gwari local government area in Kaduna State.
The incident was confirmed on Tuesday by the Kaduna State Police Command.
According to the Public Relations Officer of the command, ASP Muhktar Aliyu, the attack was launched in the afternoon of Tuesday.
The criminals, he said went away with some cows after unleashing terror.
He said although nobody had been arrested, the police were on the trail of the criminals.
He said from all indications, the attackers were cattle rustlers.
Expressing the commitment of the police to ensuring security of lives and property, the police boss appealed to the members of the public to always help the police with necessary information that would help in the arrest of the criminals.
