NASS Insertion Of #578bn Projects Into National Budget Is Fraudulent, Says PDP Chieftain, Okorare
A Chieftain of PDP in Delta State, Olorogun Dave Okorare has rained heavy knocks on members of the National Assembly for the alleged insertion of about #578bn empowerment items and projects into the 2018 budget, describing it as fraudulent.
He said in Warri, Delta State that;”They receive bogus salaries and allowances, they have their budget why inserting their personal projects into the national budget” and called on Nigerians to resist “this tradition of the National Assembly of misappropriation of our resources to their pockets all in the name of passing budget”.
“It is selfish, unholy, wicked, directionless and they do not feel for Nigerians they claim they are representing. Where there is hardship everywhere they still do not feel for the common man, what a heartless people are they”, he stated.
Olorogun Dave Okorare called on the President not to release funds “for those tricycles, industrial machines and other projects they inserted into the national budget”.
He advised members of the National Assembly to finance such empowerment items from their bogus salaries and allowances or “at worse from their increased budget. Nigerians are watching”.
