PDP Speakers Forum applaud Osinbajo for sacking DSS boss
The People’s Democratic Party Speakers Forum has applaud the acting president Prof Yemi Osinbajo for sacking the DSS DG Lawal Daura while frowning at the yet another embarrassing attempt by undemocratic forces in collaboration with security agencies to undermine the country’s Democracy.
In a statement by the Chairman PDP Speakers’ Forum & Speaker Cross River State House of Assembly, Rt Hon John Gaul Lebo, every attempt or antics to desecrate the sanctity of the National Assembly which they considered at variance with the doctrine of separation of powers and inconsistent with the Constitution of Nigeria would be met with stiff resistance, saying Nigeria’s democracy must thrive.
The forum said, “We therefore wish to congratulate every National Assembly member irrespective of party, members of the press as well as every Nigerian who stood up against today’s siege at the National Assembly; and eventually conquered the anti democratic elements whose desperation has become a threat to not only the rule of law but also the corporate existence of Nigeria.
“On the planned defection of the Senate Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio to the All Progressives Congress, we wish to state that this decision is unfortunate and Ill-fated.
