LET DRTV LEAD YOUR SMART AGENDA, ACTIVIST APPEALS TO OKOWA
SAYS DRTV SERIOUSLY SICK, NEEDS URGENT TREATMENT, HEALING
A human and environmental rights activist, Comrade Sheriff Mulade has call on the Delta State Governor, Dr.Ifeanyi Okowa to reposition the Delta Broadcasting Service, operators of Delta Rainbow Television, DRTV and Radio Delta, Melody FM, Warri to urgently resuscitate it and make the station to champion dissemination of information about his SMART AGENDA to all Deltans.
Comrade Mulade made the appeal recently while speaking on urgent infrastructural challenges facing Delta state owned media agencies as well as others, comrade Mulade noted that if DRTV and Melody FM are given modern equipment to operate it will outclass other challenging private media stations threatening the state owned media outfit.
He pointed out that most Deltans are not following DRTV and its radio station due to obsolete equipment they operate with and lack of thunder arrestor to arrest the heavily thunder and lightening affecting the air wave from nature.
The Niger Delta Peace and Environmental activist noted that DRTV and its radio station Melody FM are seriously sick and needs urgent treatment and healing which according to him if upgraded of its equipment to make it function like Ogun State TV, Lagos State TV, Niger State Tv, Enugu Television and other state owned TV stations functioning well in their various states..
He advised Governor Okowa to visit DRTV, Warri, ever since in office for the past three years to take a tour of the station and invest massively in the media sector, adding that Deltans most especially in delta south and central zones don’t no much about the government programmes because the station dead and not functioning properly.
Comrade Mulade, added that a situation whereby Deltans watch and listen about what’s going on in their state on National TV isn’t good for the image of Delta state.
