Edo Govt to Re-Build Fire razed Markets In Benin, says Aide

Edo State Government, says it is ready to rebuild the markets recently engulfed by fire that caused panic and dashed the hope of  traders in Benin City.

The Statement is coming on the backdrop of the rumors Making the rounds over the suspected insinuations of the state Government planning to permanently relocate the Santana Market Along Sapele Road Axis which was razed down by the recent fire inferno.

Responding to questions asked by callers during the “Area Parliament Program”  of the Silverbird Rhythm 93.7fm yesterday, the Special Adviser on Media and Strategic Planning to the state Government, Crusoe Osagie debunked the rumors.

While making his position clear, the Governor’s Aide said, the plan was to relocate the traders on interim basis to enable Government rebuild a conducive market for ease of doing business amongst stakeholders.

His words: “It’s unfortunate that fire razed some markets in the state. Let me assured that Government is doing everything to rebuild the market. The rumors of permanently relocating the Satana market are peddled by enemies of the state. The state Government only want to temporarily relocate them to enable us build a befitting place for them.”

He appealed to all for patient, adding that, the Governor is more determined to enhance productivity that will alleviate the suffering of the people

On the issues bordering on the recent State of completing the PZ, Ugbo-Amagba, Textile Mill Roads and Others  Crusoe Osagie hinted that, the state government is prioritizing fixing the listed and affected Areas sooner to allow it engage the next phase, which he said is Ogiso Road.
