The immediate past speaker of Cross River State House of Assembly and PDP candidate in the last Abi/Yakurr federal constituency election, Rt. Hon John Gaul has commended His Excellency, Senator Prof Ben Ayade for transforming the fortunes of the state 5 years into his administration.
Gaul who described Ayade as a pragmatic, innovative and very exceptional leader, observed that the governor has once again returned the state on the path of glory with his people-needs-driven projects and programmes which have brought meaningful development to state, and have also contributed to making life more meaningful to the people.
The former speaker, in a press release which was made available to our correspondent today, used the occasion to urge electorates in Abi and Yakurr to turn out enmass and vote for the PDP chairmanship and counselorship candidates in the forthcoming council elections.
He expressed optimism about the chances of the PDP at the poll, saying that the outcome would 100% favour the party.
” Let me use this medium to urge the people of Abi and Yakurr to massively vote for Hon Farathor Robinson as chairman of Abi and Hon Ofem Ebri Obeten as chairman of Yakurr respectively, as well as all the councilorship candidates in the two local government areas. PDP is the only party with good intentions for the people and the party is focused and committed to serving their interests”.
He further thanked governor Ayade for his commitment towards ensuring that the third tier of government in the state becomes fully functional while bringing governance closer to the people.
