The Bayelsa State Government has urged residents to cooperate with its new transport policy aimed at promoting efficiency and effectiveness in the sector. Deputy Governor Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo made the call during an unscheduled visit to the Bayelsa Ultramodern Transport Terminal at Igbogene.
The new policy mandates transporters and commuters to use only government-approved motorparks. According to Senator Ewhrudjakpo, this policy was made in the best interest of the state and has brought decency and serenity to previously chaotic areas like Tombia Junction.
While acknowledging some inconveniences, the government assures that it is addressing challenges associated with the new transport terminal. The Ekeki Motorpark will continue to cater to those traveling within the state, and more parks are planned to make commuting easier.
The Bayelsa State Government has invested heavily in developing its transport infrastructure, including the Bayelsa Ultramodern Transport Terminal, which is one of the best in the country.
