Otuaro Hails Ibori At Birthday, Lauds His Foundational Role In Amnesty Programme, Niger Delta Peaceo

 

Presidential Amnesty Programme Administrator, Chief Dennis Brutu Otuaro, PhD, has felicitated former Governor of Delta State, Chief James Onanefe Ibori, on the occasion of his birthday, describing him as an exceptional statesman, visionary leader and elder statesman whose legacies continue to shape the Niger Delta and Nigeria.

In a birthday message issued on behalf of his family and the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Dr. POtuaro said Ibori’s tenure as Governor of Delta State marked a defining chapter in the history of the state, distinguished by transformational leadership and strategic investments in infrastructure, human capital development and institutional reforms that remain enduring pillars of the state’s progress.

He noted that Ibori’s courageous and principled advocacy for resource control and equity helped to redefine the national conversation on the Niger Delta question and Nigeria’s federal structure, giving the region a stronger voice and a clearer direction.

The PAP boss particularly celebrated Ibori’s invaluable role in laying the foundation for the Presidential Amnesty Programme, describing it as one of his most enduring contributions to peace, stability and sustainable development in the Niger Delta.

According to him, the programme continues to stand as a testament to Ibori’s foresight, commitment to dialogue, and unwavering belief in the potential of the region and its people.
